What is Productivity?

Winter weather means my productivity is at an all-time low.  I could never live up north, because I would never get anything done.  Seriously, every cold day seems like a struggle.  I don't want to get up out of bed, because it's cold.  Showers lead to inner turmoil because a) I clearly need to be clean and b) I want to be in the hot water, but c) I don't want to be cold when I get out...  I don't want to put on real clothes, because for some reason yoga pants just seem that much warmer.  I get to class and all I can do is complain about the drastic temperature change between outdoors and the classroom.  Going to the gym sounds like a fabulous idea, but I don't even want to walk the few feet from the apartment to the gym.  Once I get back to the apartment, all I want to do is cuddle up in a fleece blanket and snuggle Franklin (my roommate's pup).  This is all fine and dandy, except finals week will show up before I know it...  And then what?


So my question is, how do you make yourself be productive?  Maybe I just need to layer up, put a K cup in the Keurig, and get my butt to the library.  Instead I just want to eat endless amounts of soup and chug an infinite cup of peppermint mocha.  Any suggestions?

  1. I found that I just needed a change of location! I always get distracted at home in the winter time, because there are so many blankets and it's so warm, and I just want to snuggle all the time. I figured that going over the Starbucks, and not using the internet there unless I absolutely need it helps a lot. (we all know how distracting the internet can be!)
