Back to Reality

3:44 PM

While I'm sitting here sipping a peppermint mocha and glancing at the Christmas decor around the house, I'm also thinking about how packed my next couple of weeks will be.  Thanksgiving break has been absolutely wonderful, but it sadly has to end.  Back to reality for me.  Reality, meaning tons of finals and struggling to finally get my ass in shape.  Lindsey posted about doing the Blogilates stuff, and I'm totally doing it now.  I'm such a follower.

I know this post seems really long, but there are lots of pictures.  I wanted to pretend I was a photographer, as I usually do when I get mom's fancy camera.  Anyways, the point of this blog post is just to tell all about my Thanksgiving break.  I'll try to keep it brief.  Wednesday was full of travel from North Carolina to Illinois.  Luckily, my family knows the way to my heart and ordered Chinese food to welcome me home.  Thanksgiving was full of delicious foods and family photos for the Christmas card.  I accidentally uploaded it onto Facebook before mom sent the cards out.  Oops.  Sorry, ma.
Well, there was no Black Friday shopping.  Instead, we began to set up our Christmas decorations!

On Saturday, we went to a reindeer/Christmas tree farm.  You can't get much more Christmas-y than that.  We also attended a local lights parade.
Sunday was spent catching up on The Walking Dead, and finishing up the decorations.  Yeah, that goes together...  We're that family...

Today I spent the day at Target with my mom, one of my favorite past times.  I needed Christmas cards and Skittles, and mom found some cute ornaments for us kids. We made a quick stop at Hobby Lobby and finally bought stocking hangers!  Of course we grabbed coffee and came back to just hang out until my flight leaves tonight.  It was delayed, so now I'm here writing this post so I don't fail Blogmas on Day 2...

Cross your fingers that there are no other issues with my flight!
