Highlights of last week.

7:00 AM

I guess you could say that this is a weekly recap instead of a weekend recap.  Basically I feel like I had a pretty good week last week and I felt like it needed to be shared with all of you because I know how deeply you care about my weekly shenanigans.  And since my weeks are usually boring or extremely exhausting or hellish, I need to take advantage of this opportunity.
I.  My roommate turned 20 finally!  We celebrated with a party and a trip to Sup Dogs (yummmm), and it was quite an interesting night.  Some jackass decided it would be a wonderful idea to discharge a fire extinguisher in the hallway.  When I went with a friend to tell the security guard on duty, he came up and decided that the smoke just smelled like burnt popcorn.  We went back down to the bottom floor to find our boyfriends, and as we were in the elevator the smoke alarm went off.  We all had to leave the building, which kind of killed the vibe.
II.  I'm getting better at couponing.  If you combine sales prices, manufacturer's coupons, and CVS coupons you'll be amazed by how much money you can save.  With $15.50 with off manufacturer coupons, $3 of CVS coupons, $9 of ExtraBucks, and a 25% off coupon, I saved almost $50.00 and spent a little less than $16.00 on all of these items.  Most of them were on sale, which really helps!
III.  I am a grandbig!  That's right, just a couple days ago my little officially got her little.  She's a great fit for our lineage, and I can't wait to get to know her better!
IV.  I've always liked Lilly Pulitzer, but I didn't ever have a favorite print until hot spot came out.  This print is everything that I love.  Bright colors and giraffes?  Count me in!  I started with the planner, and I made these purchases as well.  The cooler is probably my favorite, and I've already used it to carry my groceries.
V.  At UNC Chapel Hill, basketball is kind of a big deal.  Ever heard of Michael Jordan?  Yeah, that big of a deal.  Late Night with Roy happens every year to kick-off basketball season.  It's a fun way to get to know the new team and to introduce the first-year players.  They dance around, perform skits, and just have so much fun.  When they danced to Space Jam, I died of excitement.
VI.  Paul and I went to the military appreciation against Virginia Tech.  Don't know if you follow college football, but the Heels aren't doing so hot this season.  We're 2-3 right now...  Someone please figure out what's going on and get them some good luck!
