November already?

12:00 AM

I was in absolute disbelief when I looked at my planner and realized that I was planning for the first week of November.  This is going to be a fast-paced month with a lot to do, and I'm not sure if I'm ready for it.  Guess it doesn't matter, because I don't have much of a choice.

I know you're all dying to know how my weekend was, so I'll just offer you a quick recap.  Halloween was a success, even though Paul and I couldn't find a costume for him.  We went on Friday to buy scrubs or a lab coat, and every store we checked was wiped clean.  I was visibly upset about it even though I was trying not to be, so Paul did his absolute best to cheer me up.  He surprised me with a white chocolate mocha from Starbucks, helped me decorate the apartment a little bit, and even let me wrap toilet paper around his head and dab it with lipstick to make him look like my patient.  Thanks for playing along, sweetie.

The next day was a day of recovery and a couple of quick errands, which also meant a trip to Starbucks.  That's when I realized that it was the first day of the wonderful season that is red cup season.  I was beyond excited, and I'm sure that makes someone want to call me a "basic bitch".  Peppermint mochas are my favorite.  I've said at least a million times that they taste like Christmas in a cup, and nothing is better than Christmas.  After I made Paul take a picture of me and my beautiful red cup, we made a trip to Trader Joe's where I somehow resisted their cookie butter that I've heard so much about.  I am not exaggerating when I say that Paul is the absolute best.  He made me a homecooked dinner of chicken and zucchini cooked in fresh onion and garlic, as well as baked potatoes.  It was delicious and sweet, making for a great end to our lazy Saturday.  Sunday the day that I laid in bed and watched Criminal Minds all day.  I don't hate it.
