Choosing the tree.

8:00 AM

Since my first Christmas, my family has gotten a real tree almost every Christmas.  There were a couple years when it wasn't possible or convenient, but we got a real one every other time.  I don't remember when we started going to tree farms, I just know that we have for the past few years.  If you remember, although I don't know why you would, my family and I went to a reindeer farm in Rantoul, IL, to get our tree and then went to Champaign, IL, for a lights parade.  Even though they were fun experiences for one year, they didn't "wow" us enough to return, so we headed to Peoria, IL, on Saturday to stop by Bass Pro Shop and then we were off to Trivioli, IL, to find a tree at The Ol' Dairy Barn Christmas Tree Farm.  I'm sorry for the lack of pictures, but I was in charge of taking them and I'm still figuring out my DSLR camera.  Practice makes perfect, I guess.

Do you buy your Christmas tree each year, or do you have a fake tree?
