Boston, Boston Harbor, Corvias Foundation, Corvias scholarship, scholarship for military dependents, scholarship for military kids
Four years ago, eleven 17- and 18-year-olds flew out to Boston with their parents and family.  They all recently received an amazing scholarship for military dependents and they were only a couple of months away from beginning college.  Some of them recently graduated, with little to no debt, and some of them are still working towards their degrees.  Some of them are going to graduate school, others are working.  All of them are proud Army brats who have worked extremely hard to get to where they are, and have served their countries in a way that most people can't imagine.

We have lived in countless houses, states, and cities.  Our parents have been deployed and spent countless nights training or in the fields.  All of this on top of the typical ups and downs of life.  It's a difficult lifestyle to understand, but if anyone could, it's this group of people.  I didn't realize just how important it was to me to be surrounded by an Army community, but I have missed it.

I consider myself very lucky to not only have graduated from college debt-free, but also to have such an amazing support group.  I wish that I had been in contact with everyone throughout college, but life happens and it's difficult.  I cannot thank the Corvias Foundation enough for not only helping me pay for college, but also expanding my Army family and support group.  There are not enough words to explain just how much I appreciate them, and there is no way I can possibly thank them.
