july 2015 ipsy makeup bag review

7:00 AM

I'm an on-again-off-again ipster, which is just what ipsy calls their subscribers.  Sometimes I feel a little guilty having subscription boxes, but I always come back to this one.  I've personally loved probably 98% of my products in the past, and the cosmetics bag that the samples or full-sized make-up or beauty products come in get better each month.
Bliss Eye Shadow by OFRA Cosmetics: $15.00 value ($15.00 full)
Love it.  I've already decided to buy this again once it runs out.  The texture and pigmentation are great.  If I was at all good at doing my makeup, I would totally buy different colors and get creative.  I'm not, though, so this is a great all-over color.
Beachy Salt Spray by Coolway: $1.96 value ($12.95 full)
This is basically the only hair product that has ever actually made my hair wavy.  It's a miracle.  I don't think I would buy it full-size, though.  Partially because it kind of smells like it came straight from the ocean.
Mineral Lipstick by BellaPierre Cosmetics: $19.99 value ($19.99 full)
The texture and the color of this lipstick make it one of my favorites.  I'll probably buy a fall color from this brand once I feel like it's seasonally appropriate and I figure out how to choose my own lipstick.
deluxe Amazonian clay waterproof bronzer by Tarte: $10.31 value ($30.00 full)
Bronzer has always intimidated me, but I felt like trying this one out.  I love the glow and color that this gave me.  It looked completely natural, even though I'm pretty pale, and gave me the confidence to experiment more with makeup like this.
pur-bright ultra skin brightening serum by pur~bright: $25.84 value ($76.00 full)
I haven't used this enough to know whether or not I love it, but I can tell you that at $76.00 for a full bottle, I won't be buying any once it runs out.

Basically I paid $10.75 for $73.10 worth of products. Plus an adorable cosmetics bag, as always.  If that doesn't make you want to try ipsy, I don't know what will.
