My Quick Morning Routine with Clarisonic

Raise your hand if getting up early is your favorite thing in life? Okay, for those of you who have your hands up, we do not have that in common. I am 100% a night owl. For that reason, I have my nighttime routine down, but I’m still working on my morning routine.  I thought I would share what I have so far so you can give me some tips for becoming a morning person.

6:45am Wake up and take care of Bodie. He’s a pretty needy puppy, so this could include quite a bit of cuddling before we even get up for his morning potty walk.  This is probably pretty entertaining for anyone else who is outside because I’m usually stumbling around in leggings and slippers.


I love that the Clarisonic Mia 2 beeps after 20 seconds for your forehead, 20 seconds for your chin, and 10 seconds for each cheek. It makes it super easy to know when my minute is up!

7:00am Wash my face and moisturize.  I admit that I always wanted to skip this part, but I started using the Clarisonic Mia 2 and now it’s my favorite part of my routine.  The vibrations from the brush and the gentle, firm bristles help me feel awake and make my skin feel incredibly soft, like so soft I wish you could feel my face right now.  My skin feels clean all day, which I’m pretty sure has something to do with their Deep Pore Daily Cleanser.  I put my moisturizer on right after I wash my face because I want to keep that softness all day.  On Sunday mornings when I wake up later and want to really prep myself for the week, I also use their Detoxifying Clay Mask before cleaning my face.



7:03am Get dressed, and do my makeup and hair.  I keep my hair and makeup very simple for work, so I pretty much just brush my hair and put on some eye makeup to look more awake. I rarely wear foundation to work and I also have class until 8:15pm some days, which is why it’s so important for my skincare routine to be effective.

7:10am Pack my lunch and snacks, then drive to work. I only live about 10 minutes away, but I like to arrive pretty early to settle in before my first appointment arrives.

7:30am Enjoy some coffee, prepare for work, and plan my day before my first appointment.
