October 2016 Recap and November 2016 Goals

7:00 AM

I can't believe my favorite holiday and month are already gone.  Luckily, my favorite season is still here.  Now while you pretend to read my recap and goals, I'm going to pretend I'm not buying a ton of clearance Halloween decor.
  1. Continue my spending freeze on non-essential items.  I did spend money on food and books at the Lead365 conference, but other than that I've been doing great so I'm counting this as a win.
  2. Get an A on my first paper, and plan my next two papers.  So I got a B+, but I'm still pretty happy with it.  Now I know what to do for my next paper.  Apparently, I also have a presentation coming up next week, so I'll be working on that and a 12-page paper.
  3. Blog at least twice a week!  Nope...
  4. Figure out a daily schedule that works for my sleep and eating habits.  I'm shifting this goal to this month!
  5. Style every piece of LLR for my blog and Instagram.  Still working on it.  Check out my Instagram to see what I've styled so far!
  6. Visit two more local restaurants.  We went to Okami Japanese Steakhouse for all-you-can-eat sushi and The Pilot House for Paul's dad's birthday lunch.  Both were delicious, I totally recommend them if you're in Wilmington or by Calabash (which is a city, not just a type of food).
  7. Celebrate Halloween somehow.  We went to Wrightsville Beach, down the street, and took Bodie on a long walk.  It wasn't a traditional Halloween celebration, but I was wearing ghost leggings so it counts.
Now onto November!  I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty tempted to break out some Christmas decorations already.

Financial: Keep that spending freeze going!  I will allow myself to spend money on bills, groceries, Christmas cards, and Christmas gifts.  Other than that, I'm going to refrain from spending.
Educational:  Finish my first semester of college with two A's.  We'll see about this one, since my 12-page paper is worth 70% of my grade.
Personal: Keep working on finding my personal style.  I've been more conscious of how I dress, and I'm starting to look at my makeup, or lack thereof, as well.
Blogging and Hobbies: NaNoWriMo!  I'm pretty excited about this, even though I'm a fairly awful writer (as literally all of you know).
Health: 21 day fix, because I'm insane and think this is a good idea right before the holidays.
Local: Attend every holiday event we possibly can.  Oh yes, I'm making that my goal.
Seasonal: Decorate the apartment and get our first tree together!  Paul is actually more excited about this than I am, so I hope it's a great first Christmas living together!
